Experience

We have been designing and manufacturing boats for recreational and professional use for 17 years (jet boats, diving, tourist passage, tuna boat auxiliary, port work boats, bathymetry, coastal surveillance interceptors, catamarans...) We have extensive experience in all types of designs and propulsions: hydrojet, outboard, tails, shafts.

  • Length: from 4 m to 30 m in length.
  • Design: for recreational use and professional use
  • Typology: monohulls, catamarans, pontoon boats, high-speed boats.

Custom manufacturing

The aluminum construction, as it does not depend on the molds used in the fiber construction, allows it to be adapted to the needs of the client according to the use to which the boat is to be put. By working with metal (aluminum) we can build the unit without the project involving a high investment. Always in direct contact with the client, but with a great experience that allows us to advise to obtain a long-lasting product with the best features.

Manufacturing steps

The steps from when the client contacts us until the boat is delivered are:

  • Study of the feasibility of the client's proposal: dimensions, use, propulsion
  • Economic proposal
  • Construction project
  • Building
  • Sea trials, approval/certification and delivery.

Advantages of aluminum

When you have an aluminum boat, you never go back to fiber

AL5083/5086 naval aluminum is a material used in shipbuilding, which has a number of important advantages over other materials such as fiber or steel. That is why it is the preferred material for boats for professional use, normally subjected to greater efforts and more intense work.

The main advantages of aluminum are the following:

  • GREATER RESISTANCE: the resistance of aluminum is greater than that of fiber. This resistance is increased significantly with small increases in thickness and with the reinforcements that can be welded to the structure, without implying a significant increase in weight. In addition, the high ductility of aluminum means that in the event of a blow or collision, the material does not crack but deforms, avoiding a leak.
  • LOWER CONSUMPTION: it is precisely thanks to the greater resistance that is obtained by minimally increasing the thickness of the sheets, that lighter structures are achieved. This difference in weight with respect to the fiber is more noticeable the larger the boat is, reaching up to 20%. Being lighter, it requires less power to achieve the same performance, therefore consumption is lower. For equal motorization, an aluminum boat gives better performance.
  • INCREASED SAFETY: Unlike fiber, aluminum does not burn easily in fire. When the fiber catches fire, there is no way to extinguish the fire, unless the ship sinks, with the ecological impact that this entails. In the case of an aluminum boat, the conditions for the hull to catch fire must be extreme. Even if a fire breaks out inside the boat, it is very difficult for the fire to spread to the hull, and even then, it is much easier to extinguish the fire without affecting the structure of the boat.
  • LOWER COST TO REPAIR – Repairs to aluminum in the event of a collision are much more reliable and generally less expensive than fiber boats. In fiber hulls a collision that affects the structure may not even be repairable. With metal boats, thanks to the reliability provided by welding, the quality of the repairs guarantees the suitability of the repaired structure, something that does not happen with fiber.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT…

  • The quality of execution of aluminum welding is much higher than that of fiber.
  • Aluminum welding does not depend on factors that are so difficult to control, such as ambient temperature, or cleanliness and dust in suspension, as occurs with fiber and resin construction.
  • The aluminum construction allows maximum quality to be guaranteed throughout the process: the receipt of the materials, which are already certified and classified (aluminum sheet, wire, gas), and the technology of the electronic welding machines, allow the product to finished have high reliability.
  • Visual inspection of the weld is also a guarantee of quality control. All welded areas are accessible for visual inspection during execution.
Aluminum is a 100% recyclable material, therefore it is 100% ecological. The waste generated with the aluminum construction is equally recyclable, not generating toxic waste. The same does not happen with fiber and resins, which are highly toxic and have a very negative environmental and health impact.
